Overview

The San Diego Education Research Alliance (SanDERA) – an independent research entity based at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) – was established in May 2010 by the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) and the Department of Economics at UCSD.  SanDERA formalizes and focuses the longstanding relationship between the district and university, supports the articulation of a shared research agenda linked to the district’s strategic goals, and provides a structure for conducting and coordinating ongoing research and sharing findings, within the education community and beyond.
